Every business finds itself in the position of having to migrate from an older application to a new one which better suits its needs. Adapting to a new environmment/platform and/or application is a strain on everyone, with pressure to meet deadlines for the new system, while continuing to run daily operations on the current system. Personnel must be trained. New applications must be customized. Data must be migrated in a format appropriate for the new application(s). Some vendors charge large fees to transport data, or charge by the record.
Many businesses find that data must be transformed, modified, or "massaged" before it can pass from the current to the new application. I charge by the hour to write custom data migration routines for all tables necessary for your new application.
I will meet with you to determine the scope of your data migration project, then we will agree on the scope, deadlines and hourly rate for the project. I can usually perform all programming on my premises, but can come to your site when neccessary.
All services are billed at an agreed-upon hourly rate, in minimum 15-minute increments. Credit cards are accepted.
